Jun 06, 2026"Excellent! They say first impressions matter, and this place did not disappoint. Greeted by staff and presented with a menu in Spanish and English. The bowl of fruit was fresh and tasty and the egg sandwich was very good. Ambiance was top tier with the music and decor."

The service is super quick, I don't know how he does it but he serves us quickly, with a smile, making drawings in the coffee,... crazy!"

May 16, 2026"Orígenes is a brilliantly charming restaurant in La Candelaria perfect for breakfast or a coffee (small, quaint, intimate). And although a touristy location, it is bristling with traditional and authentic charm. Service was EXCELLENT and the food was delicious with local traditional dishes. The wait staff was all too willing to please and accommodate food options even if not on the menu. Very small, clean and vibrant. The restaurant is in the middle of the historic district t, and 2 blocks from the Mint and Botero Museum."

The drinks were great. I always did a different kind of fruit juice and my husband did coffee. We ordered something different for food each morning and everything was delicious, with larger than we could finish portions."

Honestly, no complaints across the board. Everything felt considered and well-executed without being overpriced or pretentious. If we’d had more time, we’d have been back a third time without hesitation. A must-visit for breakfast in the area. 9/10"

I had the arepas with a flat white coffee. The coffee was delicious, and so was the food. I highly recommend it for breakfast or brunch."
